While studying for her PA-C degree, Zorina obtained her master's degree in medical health science at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pensylvania. She graduated in 2000 and has been practicing as a physician assistant since.

Zorina is the former President for the Illinois Physician Assistant Association, where she is striving to increase the ratio of PAs to physicians in healthcare. This goal is meant to provide more jobs and offer better access to patients. Zorina is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Community and Public Health.
